Front entrance

The Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts is a 2,071-seat accessible theatre, and home to the Canadian Opera Company and the National Ballet of Canada. The building takes up a full city block bordered by University Avenue, Queen, Richmond and York streets. From street level, the theatre can be accessed through the automatic, 79 inch, double doors. If you arrive by TTC, there is direct elevator access to the main vestibule from the southeast exit of Osgoode Subway Station. Additionally, there is accessible underground parking also with elevator access to the main vestibule.

Once inside, the 81 inch wide hallways are unobstructed and equipped with ramps if a level change occurs. There is a barrier free box office and elevator access to all levels of the venue. The elevator, which has braille labels is 60 by 68 inches inside, with a 37.5 inch wide door.

Toilet with grab bars

Every floor has a washroom with a wheelchair accessible stall.  Additionally, unisex single transfer washrooms are available on floors two, three, four and five.  Washrooms are entered through an automatic door. The accessible stall measures 72 by 78 inches, with an inside handle, and outward swinging door. The stall contains a horizontal grab bar behind the toilet, a L shaped grab bar adjacent to the toilet, and a flip up grab bar beside the toilet.  The sink is 29 inches tall and 30 inches wide with clear open space in front. The soap and paper dispenser are at an easily used height.

Seating area

The theatre has designated wheelchair accessible seating on all levels except the fifth. The theatre also contains approximately 28 chairs with movable arms, 24 completely movable chairs, and preferred seating areas for individuals with a service animal. Also available for use are: wheelchairs, assistive hearing devices, armless loose chairs, Obus Formes, and booster seats.
