Cacao 70 Eatery is located in the heart of Toronto's hip Queen West area, at Queen and Spadina. Cacao 70 is a delicious and fun eatery that has options for all tastes. It has a selection of mouth-watering chocolate plate and fondues, dessert style pizzas, and waffles and crepes. They also have some unique brunch, sandwich, and salad options for those who prefer a savoury taste. The drink selection, particularly the hot chocolates, are also a must have specialty.  

Cacao 70’s main entrance features double doors with an automatic opener; however, there is a threshold measuring about 2” high. There is a side entrance that has no threshold and measures 35” wide with an automatic door opener. Inside the restaurant there is ample space to maneuver mobility devices and navigate around the venue. The flooring is an eclectic mix of wooden beams and patterned tile, though it is level, smooth, and evenly textured.

The restaurant boasts a variety of comfortable seating options. Tables are 29” high with ample space underneath for mobility devices. There are some tables with benches and removeable chairs, as well as tables with only chairs. The chairs are sturdy with cushioned seats, backrests, and armrests.

Given the vast selection of food and drink Cacao 70 serves, they have different menus based on what you are in the mood for. The menus are easy to read, though some of the descriptions are in a smaller font. The menu is easily accessed online for those who prefer an electronic format. The restaurant has warm lighting and a colourful, playful feel.

The entrance to the accessible private washroom measures 35” wide with an automatic door opener. Once inside there is a button to lock the door as well as an emergency button. The toilet is 16” high and has a horizontal grab bar behind it which is 32” high and a diagonal grab bar to the side which is 26” high. The floating sink has an open space underneath it. The washroom does not have automatic features, though it does have a lever flusher and taps.

Cacao 70 Eatery is accessible by streetcar via the 501 Queen or the 510 Spadina streetcars which stop a block away at the intersection of Queen and Spadina. The closest accessible subway is Osgoode station which is a few blocks away at University and Queen.
