After eight years of feeding Bloor West Village with one of the best rated velvet pancakes in Toronto, the Good Fork has relocated to the heart of Dundas West. Like their old two-story restaurant, The Good Fork offers an open-concept dining area with booths and tables for small and large groups but now all housed on one floor making it more accessible than before.

The entrance door is definitely a statement and makes this venue stand out from street level. A beautifully thick wooden door measuring 41 inches wide that swings out toward the street both manually and automatically.

Once you enter, you are welcomed with warm smiles from the front staff and if you're lucky, a waft of the food being prepared in the open kitchen to the left. Reservations are available Monday to Friday but to avoid disappointment or the hangry feels on the weekends/holidays, it's best to come as early as possible as it's on a first come first serve basis.

What I love about brunch in their new space is the minimalist feel and warm decor that complements the morning light during brunch. There is also a lot more room for maneuverability for individuals with mobility devices or families with strollers. The flooring throughout the entire restaurant is textured stone mosaic designs. With more space, naturally means more seating. From booths to tables, there is seating available for everyone no matter the size of your group. A few of the seating arrangements have convenient nooks/areas nearby that you can park your stroller or mobility devices comfortably. The tables measure just under 29 inches high.

At the other side of the dining area are the washrooms. There is one accessible washroom equipped with a change table that measures 31.5 inches high. The entrance measures 35 inches wide and can be accessed by a pull lever or automatically. There are two grab bars beside the toilet that measure 31 inches off the ground. The sink is 31 inches high and offers an automatic tap, soap dispenser and hand dryer.

We first reviewed The Good Fork seven years ago and to this day, they continue to be an accessible west-end brunch favourite (just a little less west). If commuting by transit, The Good Fork is just one block west of Dufferin where you can catch the 29 Dufferin bus from either direction. The bus is completely accessible and so is Dufferin Station on Line 2. If driving, there is street parking along Dundas Street and a parking lot around the corner on Sheridan Ave.

If you've been the previous location, you'll be no stranger to the menu—The Good Fork continues to offer their brunch staples while bringing back their dinner menu so you can enjoy The Good Fork all day long!
