Picture fresh Argentinian empanadas, Cuban cassava fries and Mexican inspired tamale and you have my meal at Bloom. This is fusion Latin food at its best- and I couldn't be happier reporting its accessibility!

Bloom keeps things simple and elegant. The entrance is fitted with two separate 32 inch doors with no automatic door opener. Smooth wood floors span the length of the dining area with standard height (29 inches) tables lining the walls. This creates a great open space for anyone to maneuver. Although there is a sign pointing downstairs to the washrooms, there is a separate accessible room on the main floor which the staff would be more than happy to show you. The washroom is incredibly large and clean with 2 grab bars, a 29 inch floating sink and a 32 inch wide entrance.

Bloom is located in Bloor West village which may be foreign to many down-towners, but it can be accessed using the Bloor-Danforth subway line and there are an abundance of above ground public parking lots. I am sure not surprising to many of us, Jane subway station is one of the only accessible stations west of Bathurst St. Lucky for us Bloom is located a couple blocks east.

Bloom is open for lunch and dinner Tuesday to Saturday. Although there were no live performances this past weekend, I was told that Bloom offers a dinner and music show on the second and last Thursday of the month. Some of Canada's world renowned jazz musicians are featured. You pay one price for great food and great music! Check out their music calender for the next event: http://bloomrestaurant.com/live-music-calendar/
