This great gastropub on the Danforth strip just celebrated their one year anniversary and I was excited to drop in and provide some feedback on the space's accessibility. I didn't need to look very far to notice that the owners spent some time thinking about creating a barrier-free space. The front entrance measures 72 inches wide with both 36 inch doors open. There are 2 sets of doors, but they can all be opened with an automatic door opener.

Once inside the space is divided in various levels designated with steps, however there are 8 tables on the main level that are standard height (31 inches) and can be reserved in advance. The smallest pathway I found throughout the floor was 29 inches as more customers came in to eat. This may prove to be too narrow for individuals with mobility devices or a power chair.

It is on the main level described above that you can find the accessible washrooms. The entrance to the men's and women's washrooms have a 35 inch swinging door which lead to a very large and clean space. There is one accessible stall in each washroom that features a 40 inch entrance, 2 grab bars and a change table. There are automatic dryers, but the toilet and sink are manual. Emergency exits are clearly marked beside the washrooms that lead to the back of the building.

If taking transit, Louis Cifer is located in between the accessible Broadview and Pape subway stations (Note: Chester station is unfortunately not accessible). There is a parking lot just north on Chester Ave. if driving.

Overall, Louis Cifer Brew Works has put in the effort and it shows! If looking for an accessible spot for Halloween, you may want to check out their Creepy Carnival event.
