Dark Horse has opened a brand new, accessible, east end location! The spacious cafe continues to offer freshly roasted coffee, freshly baked pastries, and options for people with gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian diets.  Please note: take out is currently only available during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The entrance has no steps and is accessed through a 33-inch wide door with a 1/4-inch threshold. The restaurant seating options include a large 39-inch tall table with movable stools and a large 29-inch tall table with both fixed and movable chairs (most of the seats at the large table are fixed).

The restaurant is all on one level with tile flooring. There are two accessible, individual washrooms located down a 42-inch wide hallway with 35-inch inward swinging doors. The washrooms are 77-inches by 130-inches with horizontal grab bars located behind the toilet, and diagonal grab bars beside it. The sinks are 30-inches high with clearance space underneath and with angled mirrors. Soap is located beside the sink, and paper towels are currently located behind the toilet. There are no automatic features.

On the east side of the cafe is a small patio. The cafe is currently completing some minor renovations, and so I hope to return in the spring to see the patio setup.
