Toronto Comics Arts festival - Accessible Event
The Toronto Comics Arts festival started back in 2003 and has grown to be one of the largest free public celebrations of independent comics anywhere. It has long been one of my favorite events to attend and I look forward to it every year.
The festival has grown and is now spread over two days and invites over 300 artists from across Canada and around the world. There is also a full schedule of talks and other programming.
This year the festival is in a new location at Toronto Metropolitan University’s Mattamy Athletic Centre (50 Carlton St). Some of the programing will also take place in the Courtyard downtown Marriott
The festival has always cared about accessability and has a fair bit of information on their site. I expect this new location to be better than previous ones although it does get very crowded at times.
