Located in Roncesvalles, Stasis Preserves Deli & Pantry is a charming neighbourhood store with a delightful staff. Open since 2011, this store aims to provide the community with the highest quality foods from local sources. Stasis Preserves Deli & Pantry features their own collection of handmade preserves, and offers an array of deli foods and take-away lunch options.

Main entrance with Stop Gap ramp

The entrance of the store features a two-step StopGap ramp that has been in place for three years. The front door is 35” wide. Unfortunately, the entrance has a rather shallow platform and no automatic features, but the staff members are always available to assist those who might need it when entering.

Counter and shelving

Inside, there is a large unobstructed area about 75” wide for customers to look around at the multitude of products on offer. There is no seating area or public washroom as the store is meant for grab-and-go. The shelves of the pantry are at a reasonable height, and the fridge doors are not too heavy to open. The menu for take out foods is written in chalk behind the counter as it changes daily. It may be difficult for some to read so the staff encourage their patrons to ask questions.

Shelving, cheese storage and fridges

Stasis Preserves Deli & Pantry places an emphasis on local, direct-trade and organic products. They primarily offer preserves made by hand with local ingredients, but also offer artisan cheeses, salami, baked goods and dairy delights.  Coffee, salads, and sandwiches are also made daily to go.

Cheese storage

The key accessibility feature of Stasis Preserves Deli & Pantry is their customer service. Whether someone needs help to reach a shelf, open a door, or read a label, the staff are always incredibly helpful.

Stasis Preserves Deli & Pantry is easily accessible by transit.  It is only one and a half blocks south of Dundas West Station, an accessible TTC subway station. If coming by car, there is free street parking on Boustead Ave. and Hewitt Ave. and metered street parking on Roncesvalles Ave.
