Opened for just 2 months, this downtown cafe boosts an impressive serving of Propellor coffee and specialty cocktails in a student friendly, accessible space! The owners of the modern cafe live in the neighbourhood and made it a priority to create a barrier-free spot for anyone to feel comfortable.

The main entrance is off of a wide, unobstructed sidewalk. There is an automatic door opener and plenty of space indoors to accommodate any mobility device. The majority of the cafe is on one floor with smooth concrete flooring and plenty of seating options. All tables measure at 28 inches from the floor consistent with standard height. Free WiFi included!

The single washroom in the facility is a large accessible room at the back of the cafe. The door can be opened and locked using an automatic button. The door is 36 inches wide with a straight handle. There is 2 grab bars beside the toilet (L bar beside and horizontal bar behind) and a sink and hand dryer 31 inches from the floor. The mirror above the sink is tilted and the whole space is approximately 100x100 inches creating appropriate turning space.

Page One Cafe & Bar is sure to generate a consistent flow of Ryerson faculty and students, but if you're looking to visit a great space try taking the subway to the accessible Yonge & Dundas station. The cafe is located just 3 blocks east. There is a large parking lot across the street, but we were unable to find any accessible spots.
