There are so many things to love about The Goods in the trendy neighbourhood of Roncesvalles. Not only has this restaurant garnered the top spot on BlogTOs The Best Salad in Toronto list, but owner and chef Lisa Labute is passionate about accessibility. So much so that she relocated her business from Dundas West this past summer to offer a barrier-free space for her customers!

At the entrance to the restaurant, there is a ramp to access the front door. The width of the door is 35 inches. There is no automatic button. Once inside, the tables are kept sparse to allow for easy access to the service counter. Available are 10 standard height tables with removable chairs for dining in.

To the right of the service counter is the accessible washroom. The door measures 30 inches wide with a lever handle and no automatic opener. Surrounding the toilet are 2 grab bars with one of them being a pull down bar. A change table is located in here, as well as a floating sink with nothing obstructing underneath.

Everything at The Goods is vegan, as well as nut and gluten free. Online orders is very popular and a great delivery initiative called Good Foot is used as often as possible to bring these delicious meals straight to your door! Good Foot is a charity and social enterprise creating employment opportunities for people with developmental disabilities. For more information: https://www.goodfootdelivery.com/#/ms-2/20

If taking transit to The Goods, Dundas St West station on Line 2 is accessible as well as the new 504 streetcar that stops one block away. Parking is only available on the street so not very reliable.
